Green Walls

I have painting my kitchen walls the most beautiful green! I love it! I started with one wall and then realized how much I love it. I continued with another wall and now I have one more to go. It just makes it so warm and cozy!
I hope to get my curtains up soon. They've been down for so long, I'm almost used to it. I bought a new curtain rod (heavy dut) and pull backs in hopes of keeping the dogs from wrestling in them. We'll see. (I didn't spend too much on the curtains themselves for fear of what the dogs might do to them......)

Orion Visits

Nate & April brought Orion over to play. He's getting so big! I was lucky to capture this really cute picture of him.

It was fun to watch Orion egg on Bullwinkle. They had fun running and chasing. Eventually Orion wore out all dogs. They started getting mad at him near the end. They just wanted to be left alone!

It sure was entertaining!

Picky Eaters

Right now we have two different dog foods mixed together. Rocky and Bullwinkle have their preferences. It's really quite funny. Bullwinkle has sorted through his food (I put his food in a treat ball, which he loves). As you can see, he leaves the food he doesn't prefer laying on the floor. Conveniently the food Rocky prefers is the one Bullwinkle does not....

Rocky also sorts his food. He pulls the food out of the dish and eats only what he prefers. Silly dogs!

We Love Snow!!!

Ok, so I'm ready for the snow to GO AWAY! I must admit this winter is what I remember from when I was little, but we haven't really had a real winter for so long that I have forgotten what it is like. The boys sure do love the snow though! They run around and dig and eat, and bring it in the house! The following pictures are evidence. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get pictures before they removed some of the snow.

I'm not sure what Bullwinkle gets into, but his mug comes back covered in snow all the time.

Last week, when it snowed it also was really windy. This posed a bit of a problem with the doggy door. The wind blew the door open and it snowed INSIDE! There is also a small slit between the sliding glass door and it's counterpart through which snow blew. I had snow plastered against my wall. I had to shovel my kitchen. What a pain! Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of the snow piles in the house.

Beautiful View

Just thought I would share a beautiful view from my back porch. The sunset was amazing! This picture doesn't quite do it justice.

Last night......

I started out getting ready for a wedding. It wasn’t until later in the day, but I had to go to school first. Randy and I were “arguing” over who got to use the bathroom first. I needed to shower and get to school so I won. When I went to a class I was in (physical science) where we took and corrected a test. When we were correcting the test, I realized that we only corrected 25 questions, but there were many more than 25 questions. The problems were numbered 1 – 18 and then it started over and went from 1 – 14. There were a whole bunch of different number sequences. So, I was asking our teacher (who turned out to be a TA instead of the actual instructor) which answers we had actually been given. I also asked what the correct answers were to the other questions. He wouldn’t tell me the correct answers because he said they weren’t important (I don’t think he knew the correct answers). I got into a bit of a tiff with him over how terrible the test was. I told him that he should have proof-read his test before giving it to us. He said he didn’t write the test, the instructor did. I told him he should have helped proof-read it before he handed it out. He asked if I was mad at him. I said yes because he was the one that gave me the test. Whether he was the original author or not didn’t matter to me. I was so upset. Some of the other students were asking me what the correct answers were. I told them what I thought they were, but that the TA wouldn’t tell me.

I left class and headed back to my office. Meanwhile, my hair was driving me crazy. I lost one of my hair ties and my hair just needed help. I was so frustrated and just wanted to talk to someone. I went to look for Jonathan (one of my coworkers), but I couldn’t find him. I thought maybe he was in the tutoring center so I went and looked there. It turns out that the tutoring center had moved to a new room, which turned out to be our lab room. I was then getting more frustrated because I wanted to know where our lab room went to. They had moved our labs up to the 3rd floor and commandeered the lab room for the tutor center. I was glad the tutoring center was doing so well, but I was frustrated that they moved the labs. I went around to all of the rooms looking for our lab coordinator, Sharon, and for my coworker Jonathan. They were busy taking care of other things. When I went back to the tutoring center, it turned out it was also the cafeteria. A lot of people were eating lunch and others were coming in for meetings. I was trying to tell them it was now the tutoring center. They were more concerned about being able to get lunch. The room was big enough for everyone to be in there, so I decided I didn’t really need to kick anyone out. I stopped by to say hi to a few people, but didn’t stay long anywhere. I went back to the lab room and there were a few of my concurrent enrollment instructors there so I had to go apologize for not visiting their classes a second time last semester. I finally went back to my office. I still really wanted to talk to someone, but I decided that that wasn’t going to happen. I sat down to write down my dreams for the night (apparently the whole TA thing was a dream in my dream). Then, the alarm clock went off…………. I woke up with all of the frustrations I was feeling all night long. I hope I don’t bite any heads off today!

Why am I so tired?

Julianna suggested I start posting my dreams on my blog. I have some pretty interesting ones. Last night was no exception......Read on to get a feel for my adventure last nigh......

"My memory starts with me going to a get-together at someone’s mansion up in the mountains. Some friends were flying me in their helicopter to get there. There were all sorts of things going on. I went into a building where there were a bunch of booths set up where you could purchase things. Julianna had a booth of Sensaria products, only there were a lot more products than usual (it was more like Bath & Body Works). They had a new scent and I fell in love with it! I walked around the other booths some more and went back to smell the new scent I liked, but Julianna and Craig had gone home with the girls. I was so upset that they had left early. I was looking around and found a bunch of the girls toys. To get home, we were taking some sort of ski lift down the mountain. Rikki was in the lift behind me so I was yelling to talk to her. It suddenly turned into us in a big yellow school bus, with my sister driving. She wanted to go visit Dionne, who lived in a dorm on a university campus. Denise kept trying to go the wrong way in this huge bus. I was getting so frustrated and finally talked her into drive down the road the correct way. We eventually ended up at Julianna’s to give the toys back. Apparently I was really upset that they had left early because I threw the toys into the room rather just give them back.

Anyway, I ended up back at “home” (I don’t know where this house came from). While we were walking back into the house, we were looking at some of the planets bordering the house and saw a bunch of bugs infesting the plants. My roommate asked me to get some bug killer to take care of these bugs. While I was in the house trying to find some bug killer, I found a “fogger” (it was pretty fancy) and I was trying to figure out if it would work outside. The phone rang and there was a call for me. It was so weird guy that I did not know and he was asking me about an illness I had as a child. He was asking about my symptoms and what had happened to me. I guess he was suffering from a similar illness and wanted to know what to expect next. He explained some of his symptoms and I knew my mom had told me about my brother experiencing something similar, but I couldn’t remember what happened. I told him I would talk to her and call him back. He asked me for my last name, which I gave to him with immediate regrets. I realized that with my last name he could figure out where I live (though if he had my phone number, I don’t think that would be a problem). I asked him for his name and it was some foreign name that I couldn’t pronounce. I asked him to spell it and he got so mad at me. I finally got off the phone and went to ask my mom about his symptoms so I could just get it over with. Somehow my house changed to an apartment in a big sky riser complex. It turned out this guy was in the adjacent building and was watching me. I had some sort of secret service people come in to help protect me and track the guy down. We figure out where his apartment was. Along with a friend, we were scaling the building and trying to go through the window. My friend had a rope and I was at the other end. I climbed my building so I could swing across to the building of this weird guy. As I was swinging over to his building, I saw him in my apartment with a long area rug rolled up around some sort of gun and he was shooting at me and my friend. We frantically tried to get to safety. We ended up in his apartment with the secret service crew. As they were looking around they decided they needed to call in 007 to help. This weird guy came over to his apartment to confront me face to face. I was so furious with him, I jumped at him and pinned him down with some sort of rod (I think it was a baton). I was yelling at him asking him why he was trying to kill me. I kept pushing down on the rod to show him I meant business. He was able to get up and was talking to me, but when he realized the rest of the people were there to protect me and weren’t too keen on letting him out alive, he ran for the window and jumped. He was able to escape. I was terrified because I knew he was still going to be coming after me…..That’s all I remember. (I just remembered one more part. As we were going from building to building, there were huge TV screens on the side of the building that allowed us to see the different angles, like it was a movie. We could see the guy in my apartment getting ready to shoot and we could see ourselves swinging and running for cover.)"

Some people ask me what type of TV I watch before bed (last night it was HGTV's Hidden Potential and House Hunters) and what I read before bed (the Ensign). I actually did figure out a couple of correlations. In the Ensign there was an article about using a trap for Japanese beetles -- I think that's where the bugs on my plants came from. Also, Tim, Kari, and Colby came to visit last night and Colby was playing with a baton that I have -- I think that's why I had the baton. As for the weird guy trying to kill me, your guess is as good as mine! :)
